Monday January 11th, 2010

So today we had an hour delay for snow. I thought I was going to get up and then take my wonderful thirteen year old sister (Olivia) for breakfast. Fail. I wake up at 6:03 to the sound of her snoring. Way to start off my morning little sister. Somehow, I fall asleep again only to be awaken at 7:25 by my mother asking her if she felt well enough for school. I think, "Just say no. I don't want to drag your butt to Auntie's" (Auntie is my mom's sister Margorie. Don't ask.) Usually by the time we get ready to leave, she's complaining about not having enough time to straighten her hair and wants me to do it for her. It's not that difficult. It takes me fifteen minutes to straighten my huge mane of hair and it takes her an hour, just because she has no idea what she's doing. But apparently, she must have been really sick because I didn't hear a peep out of her the whole morning, except to tell mom that she wasn't hungry. As I was about to leave, mom told me I didn't have to take Olivia. I breathe a sigh of relief, with a hope that she doesn't puke her guts up at school. Secretly, I hope she does so I can hold it over her for our next embarresing encounter. All in all, not a bad morning for these duo teenage sisters.
